Mission

Whereas the promotion of chess in New England is fostered by cooperation between and among the New England states, this New England Chess Association (NECA) is formed for the purpose of promoting the development of chess in New England.

Chess tournaments

A Clearinghouse is a listing of upcoming chess tournaments, activities and events for the purpose of assisting organizers in avoiding scheduling conflicts with one another.
Naturally, it may also serve as an event calendar for players.
However, players relying on this listing should remember that a Clearinghouse, unlike a calendar, includes items that may only be in planning stages, which may change dates, formats, etc. or be removed altogether.

NECA organizes the annual New England Open Championship.
